New York Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis was arrested on Sunday for felony possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct, according to the New York City Police Department.
Porzingi was arrested at around 3 a.m. at a subway station in the Bronx after police received a tip that he was using marijuana, according the NYPD.
The Knicks announced the arrest on their Twitter account.
According to police, the 27-year-old was in possession of marijuana and an unspecified substance, and he had been charged with a violation of NYS Penal Law 13-A and a misdemeanor.
Porzeis was also arrested by the NYPD’s Counter-Drug Unit and booked into jail on Saturday.
